The World Federation of Neurosurgery (WFNS) was founded in 1957, and the main objective of WFNS has been international education in whole world for recent 20 years. We organized a lot of education courses, and contributed to medical advancement in developing countries. For organization of WFNS courses we shared the expense with local hosts according to the general agreement for expenses; international air fair paid by lecturers and other expenses hosted by the local organizer. |

However those expenses sometimes gave economical pressure both for the local host and lecturers especially in developing countries. Time loss by long travel has been a significant problem for lecturers, and they have limited the educational activity by young and busy generation. Chance of case discussion was not enough in such lecture courses. Trial of Internet Conference is being watched recently as an ideal method to hear multiple international opinions in case conference, without any travel cost and waste of time. In developing countries, it will be an effective tool to spare isolation from education and social communication. The Neurological Surgery Research Listserve Group is an example, well organized including more than 500 neurosurgeons worldwide. Congratulation for organization of the 9th AINC. In this conference, it will be possible to watch presentations as shown in medical congresses. I hope this conference will be successful by cooperation with Dr. Narenthiran and the members, and will be growing to one of the important functions of WFNS in the future.
